Recommended specs

Wondering how most folks are feeling about the spec requirements for the game, they seem insane!

Seeing how the recommended specs is 32GB of Ram and a RTX3080 or better, it's going to play horribly for a lot of people. Steam data shows the most common GPU's people use are still in the 1080-2070 range of cards.

Given that, really makes me wonder how bad it will be on consoles. NO WAY they could push this to PS4 or Xbox one consoles if requirements are so High for PC, that would just be wrong. PS 5's and XB One X's are going to explode! Hope those recommended specs drop as they continue development on it, this doesn't give me great hope on optimization...

It's call accessibility, and for an online multiplayer game, that's actually VERY important. Online games are worthless without a good size player base.

So your excuse is literally irrelevant to the issue. If they want this to replace ARK SE so to speak, ARK SA has a LONG way to go currently in the accessibility department. Remember ARK SE can literally run on a potato, if you turn the Directx10 settings on.

Try and Refund if its wont work..ill use an 5800x3d,32 gb ram and a 3080ti and can play on medium with DLSS on ultra performance...need some fixes

Running the game on the epic preset with frames unlocked ( by default there is frame limiter on in the menu) DLSS Quality ( frame gen off) and view range medium .. i get around 100 FPS fine + a few shader compiling stutters here and there ... but the game seems to run fine. This gives me plenty hope for my Rig. I have a 20GB 3080 with an Ryzen 7 7700x and 32GB RAM. I play on a 1440p HDR monitor.

I feel the biggest issue in performance (not just for this game but for all really) is the fact that GPU manufacturers are still releasing 8GB cards. The performance demand from PC games has increased a ton over the last few years but the VRAM amounts have stayed generally the same. Now you have a game like Ark ASA with a very high demand for specifications and your overage little Timmy and Sally aren't gonna have the latest and greatest to play this beast. Glad I upgraded over the summer, I used to rock an i7 4790k, GTX 1080, 24GB RAM system. Had that rig for YEARS.

I envy all of you who can no life the game right now, I'm stuck at work and can't get on until later tonight.. Feelsbadman.

OOOOF.. That hits deep. I feel your pain. I recently upgraded my Rig that was just as old, i7 4790k, GTX1080x 24GB RAM on 1440p. Running some of the newest games was rough because I'm a graphics snob and love my gaming eye candy LOL.

Do like I did and buy each component one at a time until you have all you need. I managed to upgrade for less than 1000.00 USD waiting for deals and such.

Yea I totally agree that this is game is horribly optimized. In it's current state, it will probably be unplayable on my 5700xt. However this was never intended for PS4 or Xbox Ones. Those consoles will get little to no more games from AAA and likely most AA game developers (that's why I love PC )
