Melee is more accurate at the beginning.
Short, MG one can hit multiple times, rising the hit chances.
Thanks, I think I understand better now the aspects of the game because of your and BlueNectarine explaination.
Short, or guns is the ideal way to attack. Machine gun fires in a 3 round burst, randomly targets different body parts (though each round has the chance to hit the same part) and is the most accurate. Rifle is a lot less accurate, but when it hits it does massive damage, usually enough to destroy or severely damage a part
Long, or the rocket/missile launchers, are on par with rifle in terms of power, but has the added benefits of no fear of retaliation. It's usually used to snipe targets from afar to soften them up before they get within range of guns/melee
Bazookas are a hybrid of short and long. They can be used in gun range, although their accuracy takes a big hit for doing so, it's better to use them at long range, they can serve as a backup launcher should you run out of ammo
Guns always have unlimited ammo. Early game CPUs are mostly geared towards melee and short, the ones for long won' show up until about half way through the game.
This is my favorite answer, thank you!
