Same here. Specially FM2, i think its the best.
But FM4 has a special place in my heart.
If sales won't be good then Square Enix have only themselves to blame for mocking this IP for almost 20 years. FM 5 was released 18 years ago and that was the last FM worth playing and it wasn't even officially released outside Japan.
It would be great to see FM 6. i hope sells do satisfied for SquareEnix!
Is not a translation that matters that much. Is the 4k PC upgrade graphics that makes these remakes worthwhile. Ppl generally assuming the translations are faulty anyways.
I'd much rather take cut/added content than graphical upscaling...
Like 4. The -sheer- amount of parts that are locked to enemies only. If 4 gets a port/remaster I'd absolutely want parts and new missions/maps over graphics, hell, even with cheats those parts are completely unobtainable. Kind of what the DS port of FM1 did, adding a bunch of Mobile Armors and Characters from future games in it for people to play with. Maybe throw in a re-worked VR dungeon like 5 had.
4 and 5 already look great, even by today's standard, having played them both recently I can confidently say that they look better due to the art style than some games released -now-.
Both is FM4
Not really. Unless we will count garbage spin-offs Evolved and Left Alive. But even there these were more like pilot segments in the missions than actually getting ejected mid-combat.
