But melee weapons and short weapons have different skills associated with them.
Another thing to know is attack priority: long goes before short, short goes before melee and melee goes before long. There is also another melee skill that can alter this behaviour: "FIRST", which allows to ignore the priority list and always go first.
I never played 2 though, due to it only originally releasing in Japanese, are the ranges like FM1 or do they have varied ranges like FM3 does?
played 2 for a bit, its closer to 1.
major feature of 2 is instead of just standing duel 1v1 the mech actually moving in the battle animation
Cheers, will probably play it anyway for the story, since it's the only one I haven't played of the pre PS2 era games. Not many game series do such grand scale geo politics this well.
