tires and spins
tires heat up to quickly and spins come to easy, bumping into a car and you go into a spin. this is not realistic.

It's a you issue bro. Game is fine for people who can actually drive.

You have 850 hours on RF2 and having issues with this game? I think you need to just play LMU some more as I don't find them that much different to drive at the limit. LMU feels better though but you may need some more time to adapt to the cars and available settings.
Yeah, if you're heating up the tyres too quickly you're driving incorrectly. You should analyse your driving style and adjust

Certainly not an issue for me. Most of the comments I’ve seen over the last few weeks have been that you have to give the tyres several laps to warm up. And if you’re bumping into cars then you have to expect consequences.

Maybe it is only the surface temps you're seeing if that happens right after you exit the pits.
Try to do 1 to 2 laps before pushing through the corners at the limit, so the pressures rise up nearer optimal levels.

It is like this in real life (more or less), as the category doesn't allow tyre blankets.

About the bumping....you shouldn't touch another car at all. The speeds are very high and in real life you can see them losing control for the minimal of interactions sometimes.

Best way to get along it is practicing and practicing until you have confidence on the tyres. Never touch another car.

it's going to happen, if you tap the rear of a car, your car shouldn't go into a spin. In real racing i never seen a spin from a bump in the rear. How about saving your car after it starts to loose rear grip? i never loose my car in rf2. just seems to easy to loose your grip in LMU, this is the GTE's i'm referring to.

yeah, it's me. how come rf2 doesn't spin and loose grip so easily? so rf2 is not as accurate?

If you bump into someone, the forces will either spin your car or not depending on the force angle and strength.... physics. Bumping it is not a determinant factor to spinning or losing control, there is no script there to make it so like an arcade game.

A demonstration of a few contacts. (multiplayer and works the same against the AI).

I've seen more than plenty from a rear contact. Also quite a bit of professional drivers losing control by themselves, let alone with a rear contact messing up the car balance.

Skills through experience.

This is not rF2. I disagree on too easy to lose grip. One of the things that made me like LMU is the ability to lean on the tyres on fast corners. I find ACC more slidey, even.

i just got 11 hours on this sim and wasn't aware of the setups on the GTE cars, this changes my outlook on this sim. It does grip depending on what car, because the Corvette GTE grips much better than the Austin Martin GTE with stock setup. I'll shut up now and just drive. LOL

LMU has by far the best contact model.. i haven't been punted once.. have been turned around by people pushing me from behind but thats to be expected. defo issues to be sorted out but the contact model aint one of em.
yes some gt3s on fixed set ups will get very hot tires dependent on driving style and track and as ive only done fixed set up i cant say if increasing tire pressure is some thing you can do to counter this but looking after tyres is a skill needed even in sprint races.. the BMW is really effected by this is its quite an over steery car any way and theres an optimal temp window where it drives really well but under or to much over and it turns in to a boat
