It is really affecting the online experience atm. If someone wants to play a sim, why use grip hacks?

Hopefully the devs will get onto it asap. Right now, there are so many using every assist in the game.

its well known in RF2 MP when you level up the assists are not allowed silver gold ect..., at beginner you can use what you like so everyone can enjoy. as for it getting fixed lol never going to happen.

The worst thing is, they are threatening perma bans now in discord for even discussing the issue.

As its such a hot topic, its clearly getting discussed a lot.

They say a fix is indeed coming but only time will tell if it does.

All I can say is people using assists are using nothing more than grip hacks currently. Hopefully if it is fixed soon, they will struggle as they are so used to playing with these assists.

It's well known, the devs said two weeks ago:
"Assists will be getting a weight penalty rework in a future update, so it will not be advantageous to use them as a more skilled driver :)"
And as you can see, we can talk all we want about the subject. Devs are very, very open.
Beside, assist are available for now in high in the rookie category, mid in silver, and no assist in gold. FYI I'm not using a single one of them and I'm glad it will be fixed.

Exactly. There's a lot of pearl-clutching going on here, but shaking out OP features is what early access is all about. In fact, it should be the main reason to offer early access, but seldom is.

Because its ranked racing. You gain or lose ratings on where you place. Currently assists are worth as much as a second a lap, its worth more for slower players. What else would you call them?

Check the logs, even in top splits, many are using assists. This is a sim yet people are using steering assist, stability and ABS. Why play a sim and make the cars as easy as Forza.

The only clean way would be gamepad drivers against gamepad drivers, wheel against wheel. no mix up

I have no issues with assists being used at all. The issue is online, currently the only way to race is ranked racing.

I am in top splits in some lobby's and some are braking 30M later than me without risk of locking up. How can you race with people like that fairly?

Anyone who doesn't see it as a grip hack currently is obviously using these assists themselves to gain a advantage.

Currently there is only gold ranking that disable all assists. Trouble is nobody really signs up for those races as there so spread out through the day. So we are left with racing in bronze where anyone can use every assist in game.

I could understand ABS (to a degree) but some are using all 3 assists in a sim! I mean what is the point in playing a sim and using assists if you are actually half decent?

Go race a real sim like iRacing, Assetto or Automobilista.
