Pit stops?

How to request a pit stop or being notified that a pit stop is planned by the team?
I trid my first race at Sebring and ( I think) I ran out of fuel.
But nothing asked me when to pit, and then how to manage it from the car cockpit .
Pease someone can help?

On the keyboard it's the e key by default I believe. You can bind it to whatever button.

Ok ,got it. Sso that means that you have nothing from the team (or planned before race) and the only way to pit is to request it from the car?

nope since the last patch u must plan your strategy..your team have to less money and u are now the driver and the tactic brain..but u can see in training how much fuel u use per lap..also u can see how much tyres u use per lap to create your own fastet strategy.

I haven't tried setting up a pit strategy in the menu because it runs slow. I just do it from the car. Before an online race, I'll set it up during the countdown timer. If no fuel is needed, I'll remove it from the queue and just have it set to repair.

I believe you can go into pit without calling the team.
Just drive into the pit, the game detect that you are in pit and need a pit stop.
