This is objectively not true. The only thing missing from the base content are a few cars and two tracks. There is one free car in each class of the 2024 content, and daily/weekly races are routinely using the base tracks, especially the Rookie series.
Even on weeks where there is a DLC track being used for one race, there is another in the same series that's using a base track. So there is always a multiplayer option for people who only own the base game.

Basegame got most the tracks, you can get the McLaren GT3 for free (Which is actually one of the top GT3s atm)
Sub is only for online champ, only costs $40 for a year which is nothing.
Hey hey hey.... no comon sense allowed here!
If there had been DLC added and then no updates, I would agree its not a good look but this inst it. The devs who stay in early access for years on end and sell DLC to continue lining their coffers just because they have found a cash cow have tarnished Early Access programs.
3 tracks, soon to be 4 i.e. more than 30% of total tracks available in-game are behind a paywall, after a year. ONE year. For example, there is no way to currently do the weekly event without DLC, following your statement should not the weekly also offer 2 types then ? Feel free to spin it the way you want, not having a sub or the DLC will always lock you out of bits of content each and every week. Pretending otherwise is just living in denial and straight up a lie to any potential new player.
Everything in-game is just built-in to incentivize cash-in, otherwise, why is it that anytime I wanna race GT3s I end up on a screen asking me to buy DLC until I scroll to the Macca ? Should not the Macca be the first in the list ? :) This is just intruvise and predatory behavior worthy of a mobile-game.
You're right, it was 3 tracks. My mistake.
And yes, the weekly race is a DLC track. But that's not always the case. And every Daily series (Beginner, Inter, Expert) has at least one race that's a base content track.
The only point I'm making is that multiplayer as a whole is not locked behind DLC or a subscription. I'm not going to argue about the pricing model with anyone. People can feel however they want about it. All I can say to anyone who thinks it's predatory is - if you think THIS is bad, don't go look at iRacing.
Source ?
Are you deliberately closing your eyes to the truth or do you want to troll here?
Daily races: There were 2 races available. I couldn't join the one race because I didn't buy the track dlc. For the other race, registration was only possible with sub = paywall
Championship: only with a sub =Paywall
Hosted races: to host a temporary lobby for a few hours you have to pay 6 € to top up 500cr = paywall
At the hosted races yesterday there was only one that was not password protected. However, it had a DLC, which meant that it was not possible to join here either.
For me as a buyer of the main game, there was no possibility to race online at that time. No matter where I clicked up. It has been looking like this for days.
That's how it was for me every evening whenever I started the sim. Only the first two evenings I was able to ride on a training server.
But you probably don't notice all these things when you put all your money into this sim. Then of course it's easy to claim that everything works without dlc and sub.
In my eyes, such statements are simply ignorant and ridiculous.
And you want to call people melons here. I really can't think of anything else to say.
"Just NOT correct."
"This is objectively not true."
We are slowly getting closer to a lie.
What other race was that? Beginner races never use DLC tracks. Intermediate, advanced races, weekly races and special events occasionally use DLC tracks.
And if you want to register for the race after the next race, that is indeed a pro feature (extended registraton). Without a sub you can only register for the next race.
It was a beginner race. What you say is wrong. I couldn't participate because it was a DLC track.
