Do the Hypercars have any kind of ABS settings? I play on controller and I have a very difficult time breaking with such a small range of motion

They don't have abs in real life but you can select it as an assist in the difficulty settings. I believe online, you'd only be able to use it in the beginner races.

It's a racing sim, it's never going to be easy on a controller

Most seasoned player on wheel also lower the brake pressure, as the game lack a good feel in the braking. On gamepad it matter less, still though get that to about 82-84% and you should eb able to drive around without locking up too often.
