thrustmaster t150 ffb problems
hello, ever since i got this game there has been a bug that has to do with my wheel ffb.
The wheel works fine while on practice or quali but every time i press advance to race or whatever my ffb gets non existent and it wont work until i restart my pc.
If i dont restart my pc the ffb wont work on other games as well. This really frustrates me since i was really exited to play this game ever since it came out but never got the chance to actually enjoy it without encountering this bug

have you bound a reset FFB button? alternately you can try alt-tab out then back in at race start and see if that restores the FFB.

the reset ffb does nothing for this, fyi, at least on my TMX. What I do is have my device manager open, I cannot easily unplug the wheel. I alt-tab over to the device manager. I click on Human Interface devices, right click on the TMX wheel and say update driver, choose browse my computer for drivers and then ‘Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer’, you will then see your wheel as one of the drivers, pick it and click next and you are good. When typing here it seems like a lot of steps, but it takes like 10-20 seconds at most once you have device manager already open and you already have your wheel selected. Like the above post, I do this after each session, to be safe. It seems to be every 3rd session, maybe 4th sometimes. So if you practice and qualify, 3rd session will be race and you have nothing. If during practice you hit the wall, escape and return to pits, start again, that is 2 sessions, so you would have nothing when you switch to qualify, etc.
Give it a shot, either this or the unplug (unplug it has to steer the wheel each way all the way, so may take longer, it seems to me)

so rebind the reset ffb button.. it does work after a few presses (sometimes 10 or so). they are aware of the thrustmaster issues. they told me they sent the data to thrustmaster so they can fix it.
now its just a matter of waiting for a firmware update by thrustmaster.

Nice! Going to check tonight when I get home and when kids are in bed, hopefully it doesn't work so good that I stay up 3 hours too late! :)

just be sure to not open the firmware panel and update, ive been doing that thinking it was to update the wheel lol. i spoke to the devs and andy told me about the fix. so yeah. thrustmaster control panel, properties, check for updates 👍. tested over and over and never drop FFB anymore. finally lol
