How does this compare to iRacing?

Been playing iracing alot but i see alot of hype about the latest update
Mainly driving GT3s on iRacing so how do they compare? How is the online, i am not interested in Singleplayer content

Short answer: GT3s feel better to drive in LMU, but matchmaking is better in iRacing.

Probably problem on your side. Servers stability and netcode is great, no insta kill from kissing like in IRacing, you can race and fight, online collisions are very good.

online is very much like iracing, as in expect clean races from the get go. As aplikantgold said, you can actually fight people without worrying that the smallest touch will destroy your whole race and send you flying to the moon. Haven't touched iracing since starting to play this game, and i hate online racing if it is not clean and respectful so hopefully that tells you something. Had one incident in which a car was ahead of me and all of sudden he ported into my car, probably rubber banding or smt. Haven't seen no ghosty boys either (you know the ones that dissapear for a whole sec and then magically appear again like in iracing)

in my experience yes, but that can depend on your connection as well. If you like iracing you will like this one basically. give it try and see you on track! :)

Whatever you do, don't hit your ENTER key while in race. It will crash your game 10/10 times. Multiplayer is a jokeeee. Other than that, its fine 6/10.

That needs to change, there needs to be something before being able to get on the same track with other humans.

You compare a Game that has Build up systems and Content for many many years, against LMU. If you like IRacing, you probably like LMU.
Racing is not fair. You get mad Drivers in every Split, no matter what you play.
There are tons of Videos out there. Make your own decision. You have the resources to check it out

I mean, that is every other sim aswell, you can jump into the online without even driving a car online without turning a single lap…
