Starting in VR
I just got the sim and I was very confused as to how to get it started in VR. I finally succeeded so I thought I would quickly list what I did in case any one else runs into this.

I am sure there are multiple techniques given the headset and software you are using but here is the only way I found so far using the Varjo Aero and its OpenXR

1) In the steam game properties I selected "Play in Steam" and used the launch option +VR
2) Launch the game and it starts in 2D on the monitor (the headset is black)
3) Once the game starts on the monitor go Settings>>Graphics and scroll down to the Heading "Virtual Reality". Click on the button called "Reset View". As soon as you do that VR comes to life in the headset and you are ready to go

This is definitely not the right way but it works.

Like I said I am new to the sim. If there is a right way I would certainly be interested to hear about it. Thanks
reset view is actually bringing the flat screen from behind you, to in front of you :) you definitely want to map that button to your wheel/controller, it's used a few times a session for me. I'm curious how come you need to put +VR in the launch options though, when you click "Play" it should give you a menu "Launch in Steam" and "Launch in SteamVR", did you play this before without VR and maybe selected "Don't ask me again" when you launched it in Steam previously?
I have a Varjo Aero too and I start the game in Steam VR. No tricks, just three clicks. I mapped the vr reset view to a button my wheel for re centering the view.

Thanks Andrew and Terry...

I definitely could be doing something wrong but I will explain what I did below and why.

The very first thing I tried was "Launch in Steam VR" without the +VR option. As soon as I started the game I saw the flat screen game in the headset but it never went into VR. I then tried the +VR option along with "Launch in SteamVR" and same thing happened.
I knew I wanted to run the game in OpenXR rather than SteamVR for performance and quality so that is when I tried going back to "Play in Steam" (not SteamVR) and used the +VR option. When I did that everything was black in the headset but I knew OpenXR was working because all the VR options showed up in Settings. I then clicked on "Reset View" and for the first time I was in VR (using Varjo's OpenXR)
