2
NO full of game breaking bugs
Crashing with all classes selected at Le Mans track (can even crash with one class sometimes)
Crashing sometimes when clicking around menu screens.
Stutters (even when your alone on the track)
Randomly losses FFB on your wheel.
Can`t select number of A.I opponents.
Can`t adjust seat back far enough (have to alter the correct FOV)
Can`t run high graphic settings (can run ACC & AMS 2 in 4K maxed out)
No single player championship.

the game won`t make it out of early access as the company is running out of cash, save your money on something that works and is feature complete this is riddled with bugs, try AMS 2 or ACC instead way better games.

Yes. Best driving experience out of all sims. Excellent online service.

Unfortunately its not. In fact its DOA.

The penalty system is the dumbest stuff I have ever seen in a sim. (You get penalized for hitting a flexible plastic post. YOU get penalized when a divebomber hits you)

The online system is super slow (one race every 1.5h) and you cant pick tracks

The graphics are old. Not really bad, but it just looks like 2012.

Bugs get marked as "Known issue" and then nothing happens anymore ever.

The studio has fired most of the Devs.

Instead of improving the game, they are selling DLCs. Can you imagine that? Its absolutely insane.

Wait for Assetto Corsa Evo!

Buy it and try it for two hours.
I did, had some issues with triples but the driving felt amazing. But the future of the game is not certain, and the lack of career or even a championship mode is really disappointing.

Im currently making up my mind on if I should rebuy or not, knowing the price is likely to increase with the next update. At the very least its 30 for some decent hours of singleplayer fun and I might go for that, its the best feeling ive had with the g29.

Ofcourse.
Ask it from players which playing it everyday.
Its one of the best sims for online racing with daily races ,stable servers , driver ratings and penalty system.

Even if there will be crazy drivers in your lobby after the race you can protest and devs will review it and maybe they get him banned for a week or lifetime even (if he has multiple reports).

Graphics are nice and very sharp and clean.
Tracks are laser scanned and high quality.
It has dynamic weather with day/night cycle.
Sounds are one of the best.

Physics and ffb are the best.
It has a good ai for single player also ,
Specialy for multiclass racing ,It just works.

It supports vr , it's not fully implemented but it works.

There is a coop with ai mod , it has some problems but you can have a lot of fun with your friends and do some endurance races with them.

Ofcourse lmu has problems like :
It is performance heavy , there will be crashes maybe (not all of the players exprience it) and...
It's early access so there is no surprise here.

As Attackmack said, you can try it for two hours. My advice would be to wait a few days as the GT3 update probably will arrive soon. It might give a good indication if LMU can pull through or not.

Yeah, I decided to rebuy it just now.
With MSG delisting all their nascar items soon I figured id buy this now so I have it in case they go belly up any day. At least then I got the singleplayer to enjoy!

This.

650+ hours

350+ races.

I play daily with virtually no issues.

This game is polarizing, and a lot of people who say it's bad are judging it based on their experience closer to launch. It was pretty rough for several months. But outside of the Le Mans track when you're trying to race with all 3 car classes, the game is in a way better place than before. Online races have at least 1 split no matter the time of day, the graphics and tire model are/is some of the best on the market.

It's not perfect, and some people say they still have issues running it, but it's been running great for me for a couple months now. I'd say get it, and try it for an hour, then refund it if you don't like it. It's worth a try.

Preface : I gave this game its fair share of testing, way more than an hour, way more than it deserved. (even got scalded by its "community" for reporting issues on the official forum, after beeing irritated by the lack of accountability from the dev team)

Oh my, you may want to invest in some rose tinted glasses if you don't have already. Or you just never tried any other game.

The graphics are dated, the only thing helping here is the tone mapping which is on point (i.e. looking at a Youtube video of the game recorded at 4k with max graphics on your phone makes it look amazing, just any modded AC video). As soon as you look at details it all falls apart (just look at cars in front of you having bits popping in and off like it was 2007, or rain falling into your car). The way the graphic engine works is still based on how F1 Challenge did it back in 2001, loading full level of details models that have no smooth transition at all. Replays just look silly if you are not fully maxing out the game. Which by the way is impossible to do with a computer able to run other sims looking way better and running way smoother. It is also using some questionnable single core CPU "optimization" that date back from early 2010s, which result in very poor performance regardless of your CPU, and will just eat all the ram available while still running like dog poop (let's also ignore the loading times).

The driving is just as good as other sims for anyone not driving at the limit (you are talking 99% of players here). And the braking has been a very sensitive points for months even for pro-drivers...

The online is deserted, sure you get your 1 split up, but with how many players really ? And how many do really belong to that split or are forced into it by lack of players ? You just have to look at SteamDB to have an idea on how populated the game is...

The only thing this game is doing better than any competitor is the modelling of the virtual energy system. Shame online races are 95% sprint races which do not require any management at all... bummer huh ?

Also, for a game called Le Mans Ultimate it is a bit ironic that you suggest not simulating the 2023 event to avoid issues.

What you get here is a user interface with which you can do a race weekend online or offline.
That's it, there's absolutely nothing else.
Of course, there are people for whom this is worth €82.
Objectively speaking and compared to other sims like ACC or AMS2, which offer a lot more content in the base game alone for half the price, like many more cars and tracks, time trials, official and custom championships, statistics etc., this piece of software (it's not a game) is worth maybe 10-max. 20 €.

And you last drove it when? (Be honest now.... ;-)). Because it shows. So good to have you back posting though..... ;-)
