Having trouble assigning keyboard commands

Many of the gameplay commands do not come with default keyboard assignments. I have tried to assign them to the keyboard or my wheel buttons but the game refuses to accept the new assignment or it tells me the key or button is already in use. I am using a TM T150 wheel. What am I doing wrong here?

Silly question, have you selected the keyboard option at the top of the screen?

From memory there is wheel, keyboard, controller or something like that....

Ah, yes, thank you mate! I may need a button box for this game. Dont seem to have enough free keys or buttons on my gear to assign all of the commands

I bought a really cheap and cheerful 18 button box from a guy on Etsy who makes them. Works perfectly.

I have a button box too and would be lost without it, i also have a extra Numpad for other settings too. I also have a SF1000 so that has many buttons too lol. Button mad!!
