If you take the time to tune and test gamepad settings it will probably do ok. Out the box these types of games are rarely gamepad-friendly.

A lot of users have wheels so only time will tell if controller users can keep up.

It is though and if you go on race department you will find my gamepad profile there, you can either download it or just check what settings I changed in term of calibration.
Even out of the box, with default settings, it is not that bad.

With asetto corsa, rfactor, iracing, the people say the same... But in the end they are just trying to console those who don't have wheel. 🤣 But tyvm friend... u solved my doubt

100% wheel.

Just your opinion. Works fine with controller, already have over 40 hours played, one of the best experience outside of ACC (got 2000+hours on gamepad there) so far.

At the risk of being simplistic, it's a driving sim, so a wheel is the ideal, indeed probably the expectation. Personally I haven't used a gamepad since I first tried to play GPL with one over 20 years ago. I soon bought my first wheel....

This game is perfect with a controller, i do podiums and top 30 time trial on Sebring with a LMP2 for exemple with my xbox controller, stop saying 100% wheel, it's false.

100% controller friendly. In fact, it's the best controller sim on the market. If you have a regular Xbox controller, look at getting something like Kontrolfreek CQCX extenders to give you an even more wheel-like feel. A sim like LMU is the best case for upgrading to something like the Xbox Elite or the (much better) Dualsense Edge. Also, the haptic feedback is the best in any sim, and actually tells you things about the track conditions.

Agreed. I'd appreciate the sharing of settings.

Works really nicely with controller.

Search the forum. Plenty of advice on that already.

Can you please tell me your ingame-settings for your controller?

I have a wheel but I don't have a good setup so I am playing controller (PS5 Dualsense Edge). It works very well with minimal tweaking. The only things I have changed are disabling steering assist and setting the braking assist to low. I also changed the steering deadzone to 3%.

Even though disabling steering assistance on a controller seems risky in a sim, there is still some noticeable assistance. I believe this can be changed further by editing config files but I haven't tried that yet.

Before buying the game I wasn't intending to play online with a controller as the AI looks decent enough, but controller works so well for me that I have felt 'brave' enough to race online.
