Most realistic driving sim I've ever drove.
This games unreal. It reminds me of richard hammond driving the f1 cars and he literally couldnt drive fast enough to even warm the tires... Every other sim gives you a set of nice warm tires and a grippy track. This game in EA is like ♥♥♥♥ you do 8 laps on a non rubbbered track and go ♥♥♥♥ yourself. And actually lets you feel how much power these incredible machines make. I can jump on iracing, ams2 whatever and feel like a stud hypercar driver. Not in this game. This is the most difficult driving sim ever. It's not even cheating. There's no tire warmers in wec. Incredible stuff. I really hope this game succeeds cause its already ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome. This is the best driving sim I've ever played hands down.

I remember being 13 and my buddy raced go karts pro and I got to ride his cart around a track in jacksonville, cold tires, green track, thing spun out at the drop of a hat.

tire model is good but something is still off. It might be the aero in between high and low speeds.

sounds like you have never played rf2, you need to go buy it this game/sim is its little brother LOL
spirit69 25. feb. 2024 kl. 1.12
I second this. If you like drift racing, get rf2.

Why drift racing? Actually this game simulate perfectly “driving on the edge”
People think race cars are like on rails. That’s not true.
Look at some slow motion replays from real life races and you will see how race cars going little sideways on the track.

I agree. It's superb. People will tell you to go try rFactor2, or they'll say this IS rFactor2. It's a great sim, but LMU is its own thing. Weather works way better than in rF2, and the physics are (to my mind at least), better tuned. The graphics are also better optimised, and I'd say nicer. Also, guess where all the studio development resources will be going from now on? Correct! LMU.

You're too young. You've clearly not driven GPL..... ;)

Hah! I can still see my wife's brother expertly threading a lotus around Spa...with a flight stick :steamfacepalm:. Those were the days. LMU feels like a spiritual successor the Grand Prix Legends.

played race 07 with a logitech joystick when my logi momo broke. lol
TBH, i would still preffered it today vs gamepad. much wider and accurate axis for steering and throttle. :D

Before I got a proper wheel (T300...proper before the DD craze, anyway), I tried the ancient Microsoft Sidewinder FFB wheel (that was waaay better than it had any right to be), and the Sidewinder FFB flightstick. Both where great. We've definitely lost a lot since the experimental days of the 2000s. That being said, my Dualsense Edge is by far the best joypad I've owned, and I've got a whole drawer full of worn-out Xbox controllers. I need to start a thread to talk about the haptic feedback LMU uses. It's pretty damned amazing.

Microsoft Sidewinder FFB, my first steering wheel. Beautiful time!
We were younger!

This is a great sim so far. What makes it great is the rf2 roots. That and the focus and refining of it all.

So I'm with others here that also recommend rf2.
