I get the frustration about the loading times and tires, but it's not like they only worked on two things.
Exactly.

ypercars
Rebuilt tyres using latest updates. This improves the accuracy of the carcass stiffness as the tyre heat is generated. Also includes a better way to simulate (incorporate masses) from the inner liner. Tyre warmup has also been very slightly increased as part of the changes.
Oreca LMP2
Updated tyres using the latest updates. This improves the accuracy of the tyre’s carcass stiffness as heat is generated. Also includes a better way to simulate from the inner liner (by incorporating masses). Built to a higher level of detail to be more in-line with hypercar tyres meaning stiffnesses and contact patch profiles are more accurate. The tyre has a tighter overall ‘lateral / longitundinal’ spring rate due to a small change in construction, which helps reduce the optimum slip angle to be more accurate.
We have also activated the feature already present in hypercar tyres that ensure the slip curve has more realistic drop-off beyond the peak.
GTE
Applied latest tyre model slip curve developments which were previously only on Hypercars, ensuring a more accurate drop-off beyond the peak slip angle. Additionally low temperature tyre performance has been slightly reduced, ensuring more caution must be taken on cold tyres.
Finally, we implemented a new code feature which allows contact pressure sensitivity to be altered at different sliding speeds and temperatures. The result is the tyre produces better feedback. The tyre also ‘grips up’ with a different characteristic particularly as the tyres warm.
Not a word about a roadmap and what is to be developed further.
No mention of a championship for one of the seasons.
You can do single online races and a single player race weekend and that's it, deal with it.
I now believe that there really isn't much more to come.
You would think that when folks spend time and effort to figure out potential critical issues, they would look at it and give some ETA or update on the progress/difficulties. But the following is still left unattended for over 3 months : "Basically what it boils down to is the game seems to be calling d3d11_texture2d_Release and immediately after trying d3d11_texture2d_QueryInterface on the same resource that was just released." This is quite basic programming 101, but nothing was done yet. It just fully and completly prevents anyone to play the game using Proton, while rF2 works just fine, no idea what the impact could be in term of performance in Windows (it seems the OS can handle this well enough, or maybe not who knows ?).
This is just an example that was striking me today when reviewing the bug reported in their forums. Honestly, seeing those kind of issues left to rot, I have very little confidence in the dev team.
The big selling point of the patch is a new car (provided as a free DLC, to make it feel like a gift when it could just have been added in the game directly without having a dedicated store page) and a couple of skins that a modder could post on RaceDepartment the day after the release of a mod... Not even the updated 9x8 Evo (will probably be a DLC huh ?).
By the way, I can't use the BMW, due to limitation in seating position that have been "resolved" for other cars, but that last one came with a similar settings that the 9x8 had at release of the early access, meaning you can't move the camera enough if your FOV is around the 30s.
Need some of your copium, is your reference the broken replay mode from AMS 2 ?
Your comment will make me giggle all day its so dumb. So I wanted to thank you. "Hey you know your car thats broken down and doesnt work? Well dont talk about it unless you spend hours sitting in it trying to will it to be fixed."
And then act like im the idiot
Defend defend defend defend defend...... You guys act like you investors in motorsport. Mind boggling. TODAY the game is crashing on race load for most people, I watched a professional hypercar driver in a 80K sim rig try the update last night and he slipped out in almost every single corner and was taken out by AI over and over until he gave up trying. And what we have heard from them is within a month or so they will be asking for more money. I own almost every piece of content in iracing. I have no issue paying for content. My issue is having game in this shape after 5 months and your leading headline is "get ready for the season pass"
Stop defending the fact they are making stuff for season passes instead of fixing their broken mess of a game.
No, we're gamers who play the game and follow its development and test its updates. It's always better than criticizing without being able to get 5 minutes of information to read the patch note.
Patch note that answers the question in your topic
What's factual is that the game has had numerous updates to correct problems, and from now on we'll be getting feature updates like yesterday's.
But to find out, it's better to ask than to whine.
Jesus man it's in early access. Stop being a baby and either refund it or get on with life.
