SAVE-option in Long Races : -)

One of the Cool things about a game like this is to do the Ultimate Long races.
.... But we MUCH NEED a SAVE-Game option in solo-player:

I'd Love to celebrate Le Mans 24hour by playing a 24h Le Mans session (I can't attend the race as spectator this year due to work). But, obviously, we need a save-game function to do that.

It would really elevate the game up to another level - to be able to progress' a race during a long time - slowly working through a full 24h-stint. Along with the 'stories' that develops during an epic race like that when its full-scale. But we need to be able to save - for example when in pit (or even better: from the meny in-race - so as to not get a disadvantage to the AI who doesnt need to save).

Ps. I remember this option being avaliable way back in Le Mans Races in the 1999/early 2000 pc-games, so surely its possible.

I haven't played in a little over a week and my short term memory sucks, but I believe the sessions auto-save when you enter the pits, at least for a scheduled stop.
