AI can't overtake the player vehicle
it would be even better if in weekend race mode the AI could overtake without continually hitting the player's vehicle...

Absolutely right! AI vehicles just bump into the players car.
This is fundamental and should not be excused by telling us "it's early access".

I've had varied success.

At Sebring I was always getting punted at the chicanes (not tried it since the last update).

Portimao - I barely got touched.

What Aggression settings are you using?

I'm running 80% - no idea if that's a good idea or not...

I mainly play single player in all games but don't think this game offers a good experience atm.

AI are all over the place and are basically blind to anything else on track. Tried a few races at Spa and they can barely make it through eau rouge on lap 1 without blocking the track with a massive pile up.

Had another race where a car crashed going into pit lane and blocked the pit.

Pace form 97 to 98 can be a huge jump (like seconds) Just find the game isn't worth playing for single player currently.

Been having a blast online but sadly standards are dropping to what they were at release.

There are only 7 tracks currently so hopefully it shouldn't be as hard to sort them out, just depends on how much they prioritise things I suppose.

It seems like the AI are about the same as they were in rf2. If you set their difficulty below 90, they do really silly moves like braking on straights or braking too much on corner entry. They shouldn't hit you from behind but if they do, check to see if it wasn't something you could have avoided.

There's some places I've learned to not trust the AI and found the same to be true with players online.

Yes I fully agree. The AI is a big mess at the moment. It seems, that the AI ignores you or the AI does not not know, where you are.

They do however do a far better job of avoiding you if you have spun than any other AI that I've raced against, so that's something. Like all AIs though they are better/faster at some tracks than others.
When I have been nudged from behind its usually in a braking zone, and I'm pretty rubbish on the brakes (gamepad user) so I understand that, but they are sometimes quite a bit slower mid-corner. Running at around 92% difficulty with 40% aggressiveness

Just did a race at LeMans and was crashed into multiple times while lapping LMP2 cars. Seems like they don't "see" you.

The main straight at Portimao is super wide and yet every single start with the AI there, there's always chaos and at least one AI spinning across the track and taking out multiple cars. It's every single start I've done there too. I even saw a car literally swerve and spin for no reason right off the start and it took me out. They're insane and they constantly punt me in the rear going through corners if they're close enough. They go for dive bombs except instead of going for a pass they just dive bomb me in the rear and take me out and then continue along on their merry way like nothing happened. I show them no mercy and will force them off track because they do it to me all the time. A lot of the time they don't even leave room for you and just hit you or force you off track.

I have only tried a few actual races with them but could see they are nowhere near ready to play against.

I will just stick to online for now, lobby's are getting worse but they are still better than the current AI.
