Whats the community guessing ?
I guess its going to be stalled until the 12-16 of June to be released alongside the Le Mans 2024.
I am a bit worried that the price has not been listed or displayed. So I am guessing its going to be a bit pricey.
Probably between £70-£100 if it's a complete game, with all cars and tracks.

But looking at the videos, I think my rig is going to grind to a halt trying to run the game.
SO I might be out specked and out priced to play it.

Anyone else have the same thoughts?

Bro!
I can tell you what will probably end up happening with “Le Mans Ultimate”

Half the content will be released that’s already available in RF2, then the game will go stale and people will lose interest.
It won’t attract the numbers needed to survive, then Stuio 397 will move on to the next game like they did with the BTCC.
🤡

what content is already available in RF2? Is or was there a game with the BTCC?

So you pay £24.99 to get early access to the game which if I understand it right, gives you a discount on it's original price.

This smells a bit fishy.
It's like they want you to commit money for a demo that's going to expire and then slap a high price for the final product.

Early Access titles have worked this way for years. Completely normal. The gamble is if you trust the devs to finish it.

Personally I have a couple of companies I trust to finish what they started. I’ve got no reason to think these lot will grab your cash and run but I also have no reason to trust them either.

You roll the dice. No harm in trying it and refunding if it’s s***

Myself I’ll wait to see VR performance. I ain’t paying to see a slide show.

Wow!
My head’s spinning, it’s like stepping into the twilight zone with Studio 397.
Where once there was car packs and track packs with big advertisements of the BTCC. Now it’s just called Touring Car Complete and British Track Pack.

The WEC tracks available are Monza, Bahrain, Spa, Le Mans and Sebring.
There is an Endurance Car Pack.

But anything could happen between now and the 20th.

“You are about to enter another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land of imagination. Next stop, the Studio 397 Zone”
🤣

rF2 already has the Vanwall LMH (only Hypercar rF2 has) and they also have the full lineup for LMP2 (the Oreca 07) and all 4 LMGTE cars (Ferrari, Aston, Corvette and Porsche... though the rF2 model might be slightly older). Plus 5 out of 7 tracks to be featured in LMU are available as rF2 DLC. So rF2 is only missing 2 tracks (Portimao and Fuji) and 6 HyperCars (LMH) from the 2023 WEC Season.

rF2 has/had BTCC content, but it's been re-branded simply as "touring car pack" now because Motorsport Games (reminder they still own Studio 397, even though the LMU page doesn't list them at all) had their licenses revoked (ACO/WEC is their only remaining license).

Well 4 new tracks will be added for 24 season that aren’t in rf2 and all gt3s plus 4 more hypercars

They only note the 2023 season being covered, who knows if their license goes any further at this time. So it'd be safe to guess IF the 2024 season content ever comes, basically if the game is successful enough, it'll be sold as separate DLC.

I'M guessing all rf2 users wont be happy. No info/ roadmap at all on rf2 now it seems S397 will continue to work on LMU in 2024 and beyond with rf2 getting next to nothing again like 2023. Maybe the new career mode as that will be in LMU as well. Honestly such a small team, and ppl leaving still they cannot possibly do both.

Opposite , I assume most RF2 user like me will be glad to get new stuff. If you bought RF2
dlc´s (with this price model) , LMU EA looks like a good deal.

"Noone" is expecting this. (at least me :) . My guessing is, that there won´t be big new packs in near future.

My opinion is: On the one hand, they have a publisher that is in trouble and did bad things in the past (like push out KartKraft in alpha state, label it v1.0, and then abandon it). Most likely they did it because they had to, but in the end this does not help me. This would be a sign for me not to risk anything, i.e., to only buy the full, finished game after having read the reviews -- if they are good enough.

On the other hand, I'm a racing fan and like Le Mans, and I am hoping that the game will be successful. I am willing to spend 30 € for a good early access racing game with, e.g., not that many tracks yet. However, I am not willing to spend that money on:

* a clone of rF2
* a game that does not have at least proper offline time trial mode, some high-quality tracks and cars. Or more generally, something that is so early access that I cannot evaluate whether it's gonna be good at some point in time, or so early access that I do not see me playing it for more than a few hours in the current state.

So what am I gonna do? I will buy the early access version on Steam and try it for 2 hours. If I have any doubts, I will refund it, and buy the final game once its released, if the reviews are good.

Well I hope someone buys this game. Its very much 'you first' though. Not convinced in the slightest by what I'm seeing.

I'm a bit worried by the fact that it costs roughly as much as Kartkraft: the price is quite low, which may indicate that it is far from ready for release. Additionally, there is very little information on the game status, e.g. on cars and tracks that will be available at early access (EA) launch, and then the fact that they announced so late that it will be an EA release. I was looking forward to the full game, and hearing about EA now is quite a bummer for me.

But with Steams 2 hours of testing within 2 weeks after buying, and at 30 Euro, I will be one of those who buy it. Whether I'll keep it -- we'll see.

While I feel betrayed with how they treated KartKraft (the title and the developer studio) after Motorsport Games bought them in 2021... this has little to do with that situation.

See their twitter, they've shown the full car/track list there... the full 2023 WEC season (12 cars over 3 classes, and 7 tracks) will be there at launch... it's the other features (VR support, season mode, etc) that will come later and should be sceptical if it will come at all (if the company stays afloat from the early access buyers).

That's great news, thank you for the information.

Note: The information is a bit spread out across different posts, the steam store info, and the early access info, but I was able to confirm it from official sources.
