Penalty system in this game is not even buggy it´s just completely random. I qualified 3rd and i was going at the speed of 59 kph (i even have video evidence from my demo) while the maximum speed was 60kph and yet i got a Drive Trough Penalty for speeding during the formation lap, wich completely ruined my race. There were 20 or 21 players racing on that race and i finished 9th and yet i got -% on my licence for finishing in the bottom half of the grid. Very well done.
Not to mention the fact that this game is in early acces and during
it´s first year on the market it got 7 DLC´S in total, while 4 of them are paid (the free one includes cars while the paid one´s includes cars and race tracks).
You also need to pay for an extra subscription to be able to play "competitive" online races (but to be fair, in one sub. plan you get the DLC´s for "free").
I wouldn´t say a single word if the game was free but you actually need to pay 35€ to play something like the "demo" version of this game.
As a theory of digital games student i understand that the devs need money to finish this project but at this point this is a scam.
But i need to say that the driving in this game is good and easy to learn.

Key Considerations:
The base version includes limited tracks and outdated cars, pushing players toward expensive DLCs. Graphics are underwhelming, featuring 2D trees and no grass, which detracts from the visual experience.

Positives:
The tire physics and force feedback (FFB) are well-executed, delivering a realistic driving feel. The menu design is intuitive and user-friendly.

This racing simulation game I call it rFactor 2.5, same engine, everything better, less complicated and its still in early access, I had so much fun driving wheel to wheel with a great netcode and some awesome ffb, the graphics are not the best, but still it looks very good and the physics make up for everything which is not "perfect". Also the great online racing system is something we were missing from the gmotor engine until rf2 got the latest UI, now its good, but not enough people online still. LMU on the other hand just jump in and drive some daily, weekly or special races, grids are mostly full and drivers behave good, expect on the rookie (bronze) cups I guess. The UI and HUD is well designed, finally something rf2 wanted to be from day one, we find in Le Mans Ultimate. If we could have more tracks, more cars, series, classic cars more statistics like I racing etc.. that would be epic and a real competitor to I racing and ACC when it comes to pure online multiplayer simracing games, which I allready think it is. Well done Studio 397, looking forward for updates and content.
