NUKITASHI
Even the patched version is censored
The unpatched Steam version has the Japanese banners removed from the beach in the settings menu, also sets the background to night.

The patched version has the Japanese banners on the beach in the settings menu and has the background at daytime.

However, the Japanese original also includes the several naked guys and girls which are missing in the English release.

Makes me wonder what else they removed in the supposedly uncut patched version.

if i remember right there are no naked guys at the beach during nighttime. also that beach BG appears many times during your readthrough. i have the JP copy on hand will check it later , i haven't started reading yet because i am reading Mashifoni remake rn
I played it in Japanese first. Those people are, as far as I remember, always visible in the Japanese menu. The night time menu is the Steam release without the patch. The daytime menu without the girls/guys is the patched Steam release.

And just in case the people only appeared in the settings menu after getting to the scene they appear in, I tried that, too. And they do not appear in the settings menu in the "patched" English release even after the scene in which they first appear.

Ok yea thats a bug will report it on discord
This is sad. I bought the Johren version of the game which is supposed to be their version of the game uncensored. However, they still ended up censoring more stuff than the original Japanese version of the game. For example, double "S" is replaced by FS for self-censoring.

What does S and FS mean in context?

When I first launched the game, the settings beach was nighttime. When I applied the patch, the settings beach was daytime but with no people. Once I hard started the game and gone into the settings mid-game then the beach was daytime and with naked people.

Maybe there are cut things or censorship; I haven't gone through the whole game. But at least for this one thing that has you concerned, it's not censored.

Are you playing with the update patch they released last year?

Because at the time this topic was made, the background was definitely censored (and progress within the game had nothing to do with that -- I thoroughly tested this with both the original Japanese release and this one).

But I have not bothered to return to it since the update patch was released.

As I stated in early posts, night time was unique to the non-ero patch Steam build. Daytime was for the ero-patch build and it had no people. The Japanese release had people even on a brand new install with no save data.
Can someone give an update?

For this and sequel if possible.

How much censorship is with patch?

Anything else that might be relevant (like censorship but it is/it's not a big deal)

I'm curious about this too. It's on sale right now and I want to pick it up but if it's censored that REALLY turns me off to it
Just adding since I 100% the game. There is an improved translation patch since a lot of "changes" where done by the translation, after all, some joke can't be translated since it means the translators need to bother to add explanation note that explain cultural and regional elements, like most quality fan translator do

Game has mosaic censorship but it's not that bad (still drop in quality)

Otherwise, this game is more about it's story and characters than sex.

Idea being, there are differences from the original Japanese version, but nothing to prevent enjoying the story

BTW, i found out a remaster is planned. No clue if it will be Japanese only, but i sure wished i knew before buying this game (assuming remaster version is a separably sold game with more story)

Hope this info will help anyone else to not hesitate to pick it up and read (again, assuming you do 100%, since one or two routes only = "good story" only, with many funny moments).

What? This game isn't that old and looking pretty good. But I've seen few VN's having some sorts of another editions that has more routes, more text and etc. Where did you learn about it? Do you have a link?

I don't remember the details regarding the remaster since my post is from around half a year ago. Including IF it actually does have more in it OR just 2 games in 1.

Aside from that. Anything regarding Visual Novels, always check VNDB <- search this + Game's name. Even if it's a fan patch, they always are up to date (no clue how). Sorry, won't post a direct link since Steam's AI whatever might suspend my account for posting a link to something with +18 stuff (aka I need to keep it all age, just like the steam version of the game).

But if you find the game on that website, scroll down, you will see all versions, all formats, all whatever they are called, release date, and left is an icon that, if clicked, will send you to the (non pirate) website you can get the game (aka buy a legal version) + any patch (official DLC OR fan Patch). It's honestly the best source exactly because it even informs you what exist.

On the ideea of shows the release date. Nukige 1 + 2 (Japan) are show to be from 2019 and Nukige 1 + 2 Remaster are shown 2024 <- again, Japan. Just FYI, the English Steam version is shown as 2023, so it's unlikely (<- I assume) that this version is based on the remaster, but, again, I have no idea if this is the case

Otherwise, I will repeat myself, I have no idea about the remaster, I don't remember the details, and won't look it up exactly because I will just get annoyed if I found out there is more to the story and I won't be able to read those since it's only in Japan.
I see, thx for the info, I'm blind and didn't notice it on vndb when was cheking. Just afraid that I'll have to buy and complete game all over again to see new content. It wouldn't be the issue if devs were patching original games or adding new content as DLC to it, but never happens to any game. That's why I'm not buying ATLUS games on release. Or any others actually.
Here's what I found, quote:
"-*Hinami Append
*Susuko Append Patch
*Windows 11 support
*backlog jump function
*voices bookmarking function
*save slots up to 500"

Also NISA, as in Disgaea via micro transactions

Even worse with atlus since they know they can legally ask "premium" price and people will still buy it. Just look at the P3P that they released, not telling people a remaster is on the way and look at P3 remaster's Aigis DLC's review. So even the people who brought the game at "premium" price had enough

I used a "" because Steam's AI might flag my account if I dare say a company is ripping off, after all, it's legal what they are doing so apparently it's not scamming people....

Then again, none of the mainstream games are worth buying at release exactly because the prices are premium prices, aka the profit goes to shareholder's pockets as an extra bonus instead of the actual employees receiving a bonus (including voice actors and such), something that isn't clear at 1st, but this is why you'll always see "1st week sales". Aka, shareholder make profit via SELLING their stock, and when do they do this? 1st week when it's the highest demand = highest value. And from here everything makes sense. Including why so much pressure on 1st day version bonus exclusive, pre order exclusive, 1st week discount or similar. And of course, why game's are ranked based on sales instead of how much people enjoyed it <- and of course the "critics" who are used to advertised are weirdly enough, giving high rank even to games that fans said it's not a good game in general, or many bug. Speaking of bug: this is also why so many top game's have bugs that DON'T get fix. After all, shareholders want to rebuy the company stock cheaply, so of course existing bug will further reduce the value of said stock. And of course, this is why fans are magically able to fix bug that the devs can't, even if mega pofit, have tons of staff, yet somehow they are not able <- latest pokemon games are a good exemple, even if it's not game breaking level, so of course many don't even realise or notice such bug (at most they notice FPS drop). So yeah, due to fan patches, including uncensoring political corrected censorship and changes in terms used (like this game),as well as bug fixes, it's even more of a reason to wait a year or two, if you are not in a rush, or even more.

Anyways, back to the subject. I am having a bit of mix feelings regarding the 2 Append (i assume extra after story) exactly because I'm not sure how much they matter since second game. And the other reason, is that, looking at the list you wrote, I can't help but assume the story is something minor, heck, it might just be a scene or 2. As in nothing to important. Anyways, thank you for the info
