It can be simpler: you just come to a human village, where fields of wheat with a scythe are marked and collect everything you need.
Making your own fields is, of course, more convenient, just like making a mill, but any task has several correct solutions.
AFAIK you can't "make" a wheat tile. I was refering to finding one, from a village or a random location.
As a side note if you are going to skill up into construction, you should skip the mill and just go for the bee hive. it cost 5 planks and give infinite (with a cooldown) amount of honey, at the cost of 6 unit of time required to harvest said honey.
It's very easy to make a line of bee hive, collect them by clicking (you don't even need to move your cursor), and get tons of food/money (since it's worth more than bread and you can sell/eat immediately)
edit : alright, just saw an update, maybe you talk about this. I missed it ! This make my advice about bee hive useless.
Well, okay, it happens.
I haven’t tried creating fields using new skills yet, so I also can’t say how much better or worse it is than the option with hives.
I generally make money in the game in a different way.
