How to get to 10000 gold quick?
Yeah I would like to start the settlement really quick and produce wine and I already died twice with good gear on a low level character.
Any quick tips?

Very safe way of getting money early: find settlement with a river -> sell cooked fish (need adventuring level 12 for fishing rod, or start as a lizard, get 10000, drop it into settlement and jump off a cliff to restart as whoever you want).
I like to level imbuing and make a bunch of buttons and splinters.

to cook fish you need a fire starter for the campfire. Where do I get it? Until now, I have been breaking into people's houses to make my food

Flint can be found on the ground of various maps, typically hills.

That's why I said that doing it in a settlement is easier - they usually have at least one cooking station and you don't need to have slots of inventory dedicated to carrying flint stone and firewood for campfires.

But taking pyromancy (gives you firestarter passive ability) - protection (shield) - adventuring (knife) for your labour lizard as starter skills would help even more.

LOL sorry I was IN my settlement when writing this
If you really need the money I'll tell my secret to getting rich. Now it isn't free and it isn't safe but...If you are okay with the consequences. You can go to an Elven settlement and chop down their tree. Usually they have a large portion of unused space on one side of their tree giving you a lot of room to collect wood with minimal chance of combat.

I do recommend investing in good armor and party members if you play a character you want to avoid dying with. But it is really good money and you also get to vandalism Elven property. I mean who cares they are Elves after all, they aren't people!
Harvesting wheat in the grasslands and then turning it into wheat beer to sell is pretty easy money.

YEAH but I just found out thaaaaat Mushroom towns can spawn alchemy tables. I will make an empire out of alcohol and destroyed livers
Lots of good suggestions, but the fastest way I did it was steel.

Get adventuring up to like 20-25ish around that range, go into the hills and search for coal and iron. Tips on the economy, at least right now, do NOT SELL CRAFTED ITEMS. The returns on it are arse right now. Raw materials sell for about 83-87% depending and food items sell for about 43-55% on a good day. Also make sure the people you're selling the raw mats for don't have something that already makes those mats. Obviously a town with a mine wouldn't need ore/bars.

If hills are too far away but you have lots of jungle, copper and bamboo wood when sold together reach the steel price thresh hold give or take. Ontop of the gems you find in jungle biomes you can sell for extra money on top of that.

If you're new to making a settlement I'll give you tips to get over some of the headache I had my first go. Leave some money in the settlement after the 10k because taxes/wages for workers will be in the negative for quite some time until you can make trades.

Cheetah people are wonderful sources of migrants that average around 3-6 member families.

Make sure your claimed plot has lots of avenues for food or you'll have a bottleneck at T3.

Just look around the map for a town that has an alchemist. The mushroom people and dwarves often have them, I think the dwarves call them brewers.
