Where to obtain arrows

I'll admit I have no idea what I'm doing in this game, but I picked Hunting as a starting trait. I can't craft arrows with this one, apparently, nor can I seem to buy arrows from anyone, and I'm not sure how I'm supposed to reasonably earn enough money to train in something to help me craft more arrows. Any advice?

i am pretty sure arrows are in carpentry skill

elves have bowmakers, you can order your arrows there, they are pretty cheap
idk if other races have arrows in their stores

explore easy areas, grab the food/firewood/etc and sell it to buy some bone tool, for example a knife (head towards the desert they can scavenge bones and create bone tools), then you can use it in melee and skin enemys to sell for more profit. you want to get an axe to chop some wood to make more arrows, im not sure if there is a bone axe, so the cheapest one would be a copper axe, you need 2 ores for an ingot

Or equip a shield and go somewhere with ranged mobs. Most my initial arrows are usually donated to me by kind strangers, they even throw them my way so I don't have to ask.

only way to keep yourself fully supplied with arrows easily is by making them yourself
you need carpentry, which means harvesting wood yourself and then crafting arrows

for that you need an ax or preferably a hatchet with 100% woodcutting stat, you can either find one eventually or go have one made

Yeah sadly I had to take the loooong way of gaining arrows. Thanks for the advice

I think you can't craft them because your carpentry skill is too low. You can train carpentry pretty easily by chopping a bunch of wood, crafting it into firewood, and then scrapping the firewood repeatedly.

Once you level it enough to craft arrows, you can just train carpentry by making arrows. (And doing this let's you also make money off the XP farming, as you can sell the arrows you make.)

Guys, you can train carpentry by obtaining arrows from mobs and disassembling them. It was the thing the last time I've played.

This works but you'll end up with like ten different stacks of arrow types in your inventory because the NPC gear is randomized. Crafting them yourself lets you just make one stack of 200 and free up a ton of space
