Can someone help me get started

There is allot to this game. How do I not die over and over again.

This is my go to strategy so I can jump into the towns management as fast as possible :

After world generation, find a town near a bone wraith desert town and remember its name.
Starts with adventure skill. Pick the pickaxe, then pick the town you chose above.
You have - arguably - a lot of buffer before you actually die from thirst/hunger, as in the bars needs to be empty 5 times before game over.

Find the town mine and mine the ores. If there isn't a mine, find a hole in the ground. Most maps have mineables as resource so there's a good chance the town you chose have a vein.

Craft the ores you mined into bars by borrowing the town's furnace and then sell them. If you started in a gem mine or if you have not yet unlocked the recipe just sell it. Buy just enough food for the journey to the desert town, drink water from the town well and then set off.

Once arriving in a desert town, find a scavenger, then buy a human bone. Craft a knife with it. With this you can salvage corpses for food if you need.

You can go and mine more in the desert town if you want, but if you have at least around 70 gold you can get a fairly strong armor to get you started. Find a bone forge, and get someone who knows how to craft bone greaves. Then ordermade the bone greaves from blessed bones that you can buy in the same crafting window.

Bone greaves from blessed bones has a whopping +14 physical resistance which lets you breeze trough the easy POIs.

From this point you can do whatever you want, raiding POIs to train combat, keep mining for money to start your own town, or craft away as a town crafter somewhere.

TLDR ; Choose Adventure Skills, get pickaxe, mine for money, go to desert town, buy bone for knife, ordermade a bone greave from blessed bones.

Thank you! this is a great way to start any game. its easy to run out in the world naked, but just a few pieces of gear with physical resist can make early game easy.

It’s easy to level Athletics to 10 for a quick few stat buffs and then sprint skill.

For level one go to a ledge and jump off it until you get it. Make sure to take breaks so you don’t die from fall damage.

After you get level 1 you get drag. find a rock or a log or cut a tree down and get a log. Drag it until you get the throw skill.

With the throw skill put the log in front of you and toss it left and right in front of you so you don’t have to move.

When you get sprint you can use sprint to finish leveling athletics.

Just so you know magic skills and leadership are hard to level if you don’t pick one too start with.

Personally I recommend floromancy, leadership, athletics for your first skill choices
