how do i get a fire starter please

Search around till you find a piece of flint on the ground. It counts as a 100% firestarter, and is reusable.

If you started with pyromancy then you get a perk that gives it to you automatically once you've leveled it some.

You'll flint easily in rocky areas and to a lesser extent, hilly areas.
