When is middle aged for human?
I reached the potential cap and my human is 44 years old. Is it even possible to go past 420? Is there some task I need to do to unlock an increase?

From what i know there is no Ingame way to Increase your Max Potential.
Besides aging but i guess you already figured that out and i am unsure when what increases happen.

Though from what i saw Equipment would be where a major part of your strenght comes from and for crafting etc you can find people with atleast up to 40 or so in skills on the map

The tool tip when you hover over potential is misleading. It says 2 contradictory things. 1. you cannot increase past max potential right now. 2. You may unlock a way to increase potential once you reach middle aged.

I mostly play elves so I'm not sure what age is considered middle age. But I don't think you age in high fantasy, so if that's the gamemode you're playing then you're a immortal. Perhaps it's not implemented yet? But I think it is.

I only ever used dark fantasy mode with various races. When I discovered there was a cap a few characters back I just abandoned the character and the world. Since then I tried to optimize and failed. It is difficult to create an effective settlement so one has enough money to advance skills while still being effective at combat. I just can't tolerate a gimped character from half leveled skills.

I felt the same way at first, but after fifty hours or so I realized that the game is super easy once you know what you're doing. I'm at the point were I get bored and make new saves because extreme POI are too easy. Once you know what you're doing you can start a new save and hit the point were you're clearing extreme difficulty point of interest in 1-3 hours without paying to train any of your skills.

The dev plans on adding something harder then extreme in the future and that's what I'm waiting for to test my abilities to come up with good builds.

But until then I'd say tell your min maxing heart to settle with leveling up your non primary skills to 10 for extra statspoints and make a merchant/builder or something as your first character then retire once you have your settlement made.
was something changed? my char starts with a cap of 420, as a dwarf. Do dwarves start as middle aged? My other dwarf is in his 80's and still 420 cap. I just went forward a couple decades and its still 420 im like 100, a lot of npcs die in the 120~ range how am i not middle aged im halfway to 200
