Starting leadership to 1?
If you do not invest a starting point in leadership, you have to rise hunter pretty high to access it, and it feels like a huge wall that should not be there, it would actually be normal and player friendly to start leadership at level 1 then the players can choose if they want to invest in more than 1 companion.

I really like that magic and leadership require a little more effort to get started, and I plan to add more abilities that work this way.

There's a mod that starts everything on level 1 on Workshop, so anyone can freely choose how they play the game, but I plan to keep it how it is as part of the core version.

I know this is game design, but it would be nice to even have a chance at learning skills like leadership by doing something else. It might be even late game thing but it would be cool to not be limited by starting stats. However i also see it as making your character unique with each run.

There are ways to start progressing in every skill during play.

Also yeah im sorry im wrong. You are correct that there is a way to get leadership in other way.
Did not play long enough but if you get your hunting high enough then you will be able to have an companion which whne giving orders, will give you leadership exp.
I just did not checked that and assumed it was near impossible to get leadership without starting with it.
Like floromancy and pyromancy have thier respected users. (woodbenders and sun scorchers.)
Thx for comment.

In my current playthrough, i did a Hard POI but the chests loot was all equipment, are these skills opportunities coming from these POIs? Also, does POIs eventually regenerate? I noticed that once POIs are cleared, they don't seem to ever get replaced.

Everything that's simulated before you start playing in the world continues to be simulated during the playthrough, which includes new PoI spawns.

Yes POIs do eventually "regenerate". However it takes a very long time to do if you planning on staying in same location for quite a while. (At least 10+ years I think)

Thank you, but what about the first question?

I did find a flouromancy book in hard poi chest so they can be there.
Although it's rare.

I don't think the starting leadership should be one, but I do think you should be allowed one party member from lvl 0 so it can be leveled like anything else. Leveling hunting to over 30 just to be able to hire someone feels excessive, and what if you're not playing as an archer?

You could in theory just find a leadership book like with the magics, but that also feels like a different animal than leadership; every character would want to hire party members, but only a wizard or mage would want to start with magic.

you can actually get it without training hunting through hard+ tier pois by recieving a book from the chest for it i got floromancy that way not sure if these books can drop elsewhere but they are decently rare i've recieved only 3 (hunting, thieving, floromancy) and done a decent amount of high tier pois

Wait, so if I didn't start with leadership the only way to get to level 1 in that is to either find a random drop book that no one has reported seeing yet, or to level up hunting to level 32, while my cap is currently 10, to unlock taming and animal companion?
Oh man this is going to be a grind.

Hunting is really easy to level provided you have the money to pay for the potential. Construction is also an option.
