How hard is this game to get into?

Currently on night shift bored scrolling and came across this game. As far as I can say this looks really promising. How hard is the game to learn? I've played games like Vicky 2, Songs of syx with have steep learning curves so I think I can handle it. The UI looks a little old but sort of have a little of nostalgia?

There isn't THAT much difficulty since the game already tell you before you go to a new zone/map what's the danger level. So early on you shouldn't have much issue learning the game.

A few simple tip to avoid frustation : on the world map you will spot "event". Once you enter the map of said event you will get a marker to tell you where the action is. every event have one or more chest somewhere nearby, and killing every monster around will ping you said chest on your map.
So feel free to murder everything that isn't friendly
Once you do this, just quit this map and go find another event. There is near nothing on the map beside this, and the little they have is time consuming to find (unless you level up a specific skill)

This is basically the main loop right now, doing events.

Getting gold is way to go. Earn gold, spend on NPC to learn skill and order/loot 95% of your gear while progressing.

Keep on you a knife, some waterskin or alike for water storage, and some food - you are good to go. Just watch out for river or city if you want more water.

It's easy to play, hard to master. Remember, your lesson from Dwarf Fortress, though - winning is fun.
