Jumping and Running

I know this game doesn't have jumping in it other than grendae jumping (which I despise doing), but there are several places where you need to jump gaps to progress. I am stuck on G4 Sunbathing because I can't figure out how to cross it. I've watch some videos of other people doing it and it looks like they just glide across the gap somehow. I can't replicate it, and I don't have grenades on that level.

Also, can you run in this game? There doesn't seem to be a button mapped for it on the controller. I thought old games like this only had one movement speed. Some of the videos look like they are running so fast through the levels, but I can't tell if that's just because they sped up the video or not.

Yes, in the Preferences, under Controls you can set the run key and also you can set to "always run" which is the best option throughout. Good luck
