Combat won't end?

I'm stuck in combat mode on some maps, even after everything is dead. Only way to end it is by leaving the map and reentering, which is really annoying on big maps such as the hospitals.

It's a known bug with maps with multiple floors. I think there are only 2 affected, the hospital and the motel. Very annoying within those maps though.

At the hospital now, last location to have this issue was the motel, good to know I only have to suffer through it this time and then never again.

i crashed just after cleaning the motel map, didn t hit F5 once cleared...yeah...

quick save/quick reload cleared the issue for me at the Hospital.

I got stuck in combat at the biker gangs HQ, had to kill everything on map. No matter if I was closed off in a room, I stayed in combat while biker gang members killed Zombie's all over the place. Then had to kill the left over biker gang members. Took forever to finish that map stuck in combat.

10 Rounds of just hitting spacebar should end most "endless combat", at least that was what my friend did in the Ballinger Hospital. Just dont mash spacebar too recklessly, or youll enter combat again for another 10 rounds lol

its usually because a zombie or NPC is on a different floor ineraction with the you. Once you get out of their line of sight (which you cant tell because they are on a different floor), the combat mode stops. If the combat mode just never stops, there is a deader there somewhere causing it.

Tell me about it... I went through 40 combat turns that way, I was hitting myself at the end for being so gosh darn impatient and stupid...

Personally I'm not playing till they fix that ♥♥♥♥. I can imagine all the casual normal people playing this game would quit right then and there after seeing that endless combat ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

This problem happens to me, but i found out some NPC zombies and survivors was fighting against eachother, in the middle inside the rooms of the motel to be precise.
