DVD

So, I finally found DVDs, but still no player. They were in the random area where you find Effram, which was a gold mine with spices, DVDs, Whiskey, and finally some whole coffee beans. Obviously random, but it was a luxury paradise.

There was no icon for the DVDs, but they are definitely in the game now. Has anyone found a player yet? Or better yet, has anyone got both in the same game?

Usually when you find one you'll find the other like in the same location, same map- I tend to find mine in TV stands in residential areas
sometimes Ill get the DVD player icon, other times not - strange

Loot is somewhat randomized with each game, so you're not going to find the same stuff in the same place every time.

So, the DVDs and the player are both completely random drops? They are not scripted to some specific location? Seems strange to me, I've made so many playthroughs by now, because of the damn save game bug, and not once have I seen them.

You can find a dvd player and dvds at the farm to the north north-west of the shelter. I also found them at the equestrian stables, Jennifer's house and at the "residential district".

Equestrian stables, everytime I go I find the dvdplayer/dvds together

To which equestrian stables are you refering for I am currently a proud owner of 6 dvd players and roughly 600lbs of cds, but I have yet to find a dvd...

I got DVDs at the Mansion, as well.

There are numerous places you can find dvd with dvd player alabama way is the nearest for me but it seems random drop from any residental location(except the nearest Llano residentel for example) Also i found them at all farms except millers stable and Efferem+grant encounters has them my last save had 4 dvd players

@Caidoz: I can't seem to enter the Mansion. I can enter the area but its not letting me past the fence nor do i get any propmts to open. haven't tried explosives yet.

There's a gate in the back wall of the fence. :)

Effrem is supposed to have unique dialog on the mansion map, showing the way to the door.
