Can't reload 9mm?

I seem to not be able to reload the cop I picked up's 9mm pistol, I've managed to reload another character's .36 but this gun will not reload.
Any suggestions?

In combat or out of combat? The mechanics work the same for both 9mm and 38's (and all firearms). Are you sure you have the right ammo? The boxes look pretty close between the two calibers.

I figured it out, apparently I was using the wrong means of reloading the .36 and somehow it worked. moving the bullets into an item slot before reloading worked

Sadly one thing I kind of wish they change. Like if you're out of combat you should be able to reload your gun without going into your inventory and equipping the ammo. And better yet while in combat if you have ammo equipped it will cost less AP to reload, but if you don't then you have to use much more AP to reload (since you are opening your backpacka nd getting teh ammo out).
