floating or drifting touchpad mouse

Hi y'all title says it all seen as how the devs ignore every question about bugs and general game screw ups that said and out the way I thought id ask you my fellow gamers for assistance I've updated everything I can think of and I get to the main menu and lose complete control of my mouse to the point where I have to task manager the game shut has anyone else got this prob and if so any advice to fix it? Cheers guys

I'm sorry if you feel like you are being ignored but myself and Caidoz answers questions all the time on here and the official forum. Are you playing on windows 8? If so play in win 7 compatibility mode. Windows 8 has mouse issues with some games. MS released a patch for it.

I have it on windows 7 compatibilty plus disabled the high dmi settings I think its called on the properties plus how long ago was the patch released u tried yet again yesterday and its still the same never known a bug issue or whatever catogory it comes under where my mouse goes like this

Its a peculiar problem first time I've ever had it and I've had lots of early access games plus normal ones

As far as I know, there's nothing in Dead State which would affect the mouse. Really not sure what to tell you. My initial thought is the problem would be on your end with the mouse itself, but if it's working with other games then I'm out of ideas.

Yea its a weird one I thought it was the game because I constantly upgrade my laptop updates etc looking on the forums seems like quite a few people are having the same trouble as me

Try downloading the demo for Age of Decadence - it uses the same engine as Dead State. If you're still having mouse issues with that game, it might just be a problem with the engine itself.

Just tried the age of decadense demo the mouse is fine on it not a problem

I have the same problem, but will try with windows 7 mode. I currently use windows 8.1 and have never had an issue like this. My mouse just drifts around at random.

*Edit* Happy to report that switching to full screen 1080p settings in the options fixed my problems. I did hook up another mouse and had the same issues until i switched things. Def a problem somewhere though.

*Edit 2* A little more messing around and i think i know the problem. My cursor doing the logo screens is white and bigger. When i first started the game for the first time the white cursor was also on the main title screen drifting around like crazy carried over from the logo screens. Soon as i made some changes the cursor is now black and works correctly. When switching back to the first time settings to see if it was the resolution or full screen, it still works correctly and the cursor is still black. So for some reason upon first boot up, when the game went from title screen to main menu screen my cursor was the white cursor and drifting around like crazy. Making graphic setting changes made my cursor smaller and black (assuming that's the correct cursor). Hope this helps if the devs want I can uninstall/reinstall and try to duplicate the problem and take some screenshots showing the white cursor on the main menu screen.
