Differences between Steam and Original Version
I got the original version a long time back and im wondering what differences there are between that and the steam edition. I haven't bothered to do a full play through of it, so is it worth one?

researching why your games performed the way they did upon release is a nice feature.

Let's see, the biggest changes would have to be these:
________________________________________

Game Reports:

After finishing a game you get the option to research a game report, this gives you hints on how to make better games in the future. It tells you things such as:

Story/Quests is important for Adventure Games
PC is good for Mature audiences
Casual games go well with GS (Nintendo DS)
_______________________________________

Adds the next generation of consoles:

mBox One (Xbox One)
Playsystem 4 (Playstation 4)
OYA (Ouya)

And the fantasy future generation:

mBox Next (Xbox)
Playsystem 5 (Playstation)

No new future Nintendo products, unfortunately.

New random events:

Sometimes when you have a new game in development you will be asked to do an interview. They will ask you how well you think the game is going to do.

You can choose to hype the game: giving you better sales if the game does well and worse if it did bad.

Or be modest: Giving you a little hype and no penality if the game does bad.

Also you can occasionally get a another new different kind of interview that asks what you think is more important in a certain game.

Example: Is Gameplay or A.I more important in an action game?

After one of your old engines has been out for long enough you will recieve a message from a fan asking you to release the source. You can choose to release it, sell it, or ignore. Each giving you mixed results.

Multi Platform games:

Mid game you get the option to sell your game to a maximum of 3 platforms: giving you more sales and feedback but increasing costs.

There are plenty of more changes but these are the ones I thought were most important.

Overall, there are many great changes that have been made to the game that makes it a much better experience!

Though, there is still the major lag problems at end game...

Errr... The orignal also has these "new features". Might just want to err..... patch it.

I got a steam key for my original copy, you don't have to buy it again. Just visit the website to obtain a steam key. The updated version is better, it has only added the things Jinjo said.

Cough. You can ALSO update your original. BOTH are the same.

There is no "better" - just one runs on Steam.

Unfortunately, the core gameplay mechanic is still "guess what combination of factors is best" for the game type selected.

This made me enjoy the game 100x more.

Wow, this can be interesting. Original just sucked, no feedback or anything and it still does but these changes improve the game a bit and make it more fun.

Maybe worth installing again.
