Licenses for using real names.

Hey, I really love this game. It's simple yet genius - got me addicted. :)

Anyway - the fake companies and consoles names are obviously there because of licensing issues. On one hand, I appreciate the low price tag of the game, which would require cutting costs, which in turn, means a big "NO" to paying fat license fees to the companies for using their trademarks. On the other hand, I'm kind of feeling cheated by those silly names. C'mon, we all know what's what, why not call every company and every console by its name?

While the dilema is obvious, personally, I'd be willing to pay extra (a reasonable amount) for having real names of consoles and companies in the game, if they came in form of a DLC, for example.

I've been wondering about what everyone else is thinking, so feel free to share your opinions.

That´s what I would do in this game too. No major patches, just move on at this stage.

The problem is, you must get license from everybody or it will make no sense. Takes a lot of time to ask everybody and get final answer. Until then everybody already plays Tetris Ultra in 2015

Can't agree with that. I'd much rather not pay extra for slightly different names. I do agree that it feels silly though, but hey, pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!

With the 95% of piracvy rate (99.9 in Russia) i really doubt they can buy a Hyundai.

and lack of licences really doesn'r matter to me. It is funny how they changed names, and its still clear what we are talking about. What's the point to have a real names?

Nah I just had a bad mood earlier after my game "froze" again and Steam showed 2200 people online playing it. But if small games like that are victims to piracy and Steam still displays when pirates play it, that makes sense. Yes the fictional names don´t bother much.
