GTA type of games - what genre?

Well it's clearly Action, but also transport, or even City? Has anyone ever made a GTA like game that was successful?

nope, never done a GTA type game, i don't want to intentionally make a crap game....so i avoid it.

In my opinion more like a Life - Adventure/Simulation or - Simulation/Adventure... worked great for me...

My first game was Medieval/Action game Pillage the Village my last game is also Pillage the Village 7 [ 6th sequel of the game, AAA titlte 3d v7 game] last game got 9.75 score
