3d graphics v6 not available

A message told me 3d v6 graphics were available for research but its not there. Its been like 10 years since then (in game time) lol. Does anyone know if its a problem or am I not doing something?

All I got in my 35 years were 3D Graphics V1 and that other 3D retrospect or whatever.

You need to use the graphics version in your engine, and after some games you level it up and unlock the next version - ready to be researched and baked into an engine.

I have the R&D Lab. Got the Message that Research of 3d graphics v6 is available and my 3-d v5 is meanwhile at level 8. But there is still no option in r-d to develop this. Am I doing something wrong?

Yes your doing something wrong, according to the wiki it unlocks when you have 3D graphics v5 to level 4
