Played another game and both combos failed miserably.
Every game i produce is AAA > : ( MMO <3
Your third top hit will always be a 9+ reviewed game (meaning all reviews at 9 or more) - the actually review rating (between 9.0 and 10.0) depends on how good the game is according to the normal mechanics.
A top hit is a game with at least a score of 20 (Tech + Design * some modifiers) that beats your previous highest scoring game. Due to the way the modifiers work, its difficult to get three top hits before you get to 30 D+T (although not impossible).
You can delay it indefinitely if you understand how top hits are generated, although there's really no point.
This is the game's mechanism of moving you out of the tutorial area, into the proper game, with some more seed money (which you will need). Once you score three top hits you have at least some understanding of what works and what doesn't, so I kinda like this feature.
I made around 15mil in my first 5 years, its a real pain to make it big early on but if it happens good god does it make later stages of the game easier since you get the cash to design a good game engine early on.
