Achievement problem

So i played it on release, got the achievents: Cult status, Good judgement and supporter. They unlocked in-game but not on steam. Any idea what is going on with that problem?

I have problem with Achievement, too. For example : I name my game 'Wing Commander' but I don't have the 'Bluehair reporting for space duty' achievement.

I have more than 50% of the achievement's in-game, also not unlocking via Steam.

the name of the achievenment for that is actually
Detective
Find at least one of the easter eggs in the game.

as for none-steam unlocking achievements :S thats weird, everything seems fine on my end :S

it seems fine, i just got "Fan" after calling my company "Origin"

as for shakedoc and enzo and xb92ai
try uninstalling the game, deleting the GDT folder in user>local
reinstall it, start a new game and try again
if you dont have "fan" call your company "Origin"
or "Greenheart Games"

you should get fan and/or admirer then

and i agree with ziatan
not getting a game because achievements cont currently work,,, is....kinda a poor excuse to not getting a game

take Exile:Escape from the pit
there achievements was working, not sure if their fixed now
but regardless its still and awesome game.. a tough challange....but an awesome game all the same

Thanks for reporting this, I can honestly say that during our QA process no one reported this.
I will file a report and we will look into it.
Have you tried restarting your client and/or game?

Started it, got the ingame notice of the achievement for supporting them, and noticed i didnt get the steam notification.
Pressing shift+TAB showed that the overlay was indeed not present, restarting the game fixed this and achievements now register properly.

first off - great game :), love the ref's to the old school computers/consoles
second, i think the achievement problem effects random people as mine seems fine,

and lastly
would it be possible if in one of your future updates, you could add a "delete" button
to the save/load screens.

i've tried following the steps from another post, and tried uninstalling and deleting all GDT files and folders, disable cloud sync~ but the saves are still there

I had the problem with achievements as well. Restarted Steam and loaded back into the game and it successfully registered the next achievement I got, but not the ones I had gotten up to that point. Looks like I'll have to start a new game.

awesome game, but the overlay doesn't work at all (for me) and I can't get achievements (restarting steam/the game didn't help).
Just a simple idea: since lot of us have unobtainable achievements now it'd be great if after the game starts, every achievement already erned ingame would be triggered again towards steam. This shouldn't take much work and players wouldn't have to delete save games to earn achievements :)

@Charlie you guys made an awesome game, but I am especially thankful for the immediate support when it comes to bugs like these. I'll definitely keep an eye out for future game releases. As for fixing it, I see something in @Barney's solution. That is, if that is manageable on your part.

I think its fixed! i started game dev tycoon and all the achievements i previously unlocked poped-up in the hud.
