Also, what is the difference between 3D graphics 1, 3D graphics 2, and 3D graphics 3. If I'm in the N64 era, should I research up to 3D graphics 2? Can the N64 even support those? Does it improve my game on that platform or does it do nothing since the platform can't support it?
These things are never explained, and the game reports don't offer any insight.
Hope when they make the next one that actually explain these things.
+++ is essentially max out the slider to the top, whereas --- is bottom. There are five dispositions (+++, ++, -, --, ---) so use --- as the bottom and go up incrementally from there.
++, -, and -- (since +++ is top) represent three different positions on the bar.
Follow me so far?
Try setting -- about a quarter or third, and set - about halfway, leaving ++ about 3/4 or 2/3 of the bar.
As for the add-ons (3D Graphics, etc), they have no bearing at all on anything related to consoles, genre, etc. Essentially, those add-ons increase production time and also increase the end result of your game. The more systems you use (3D, Stereo, multiplayer, etc), the higher chances of producing bigger point bubbles and getting bonuses for new technology.
Essentially, add as much as you can to maximize the overall scoring for your game. Also, pay attention to strengths and weaknesses of your staff in relation to the systems.
