How to Delete Mods?

I can deactivate them in the preferences, but it still loads them all every time I launch the game. I delete them from the mods folder and they reappear.

And for extra credit, anybody know where the actual saved game data for Game Dev Tycoon is stored? Nothing in documents, public or private. Nothing (that I can identify) in the steam folder.

Also tried uninstalling the app through steam, and manually, then reinstalling. It ressurrects the mods and puts them back in the folder. Should mention that.

Hey,

A) You will need to disable Steam Cloud to stop your saves re downloading:
1) In your Steam Library, right-click on Game Dev Tycoon and select "Properties."
2) Click the "Updates" tab.
3) Uncheck "Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for Game Dev Tycoon."
4) Click "Close."

B) You will need to 'unsubscribe' to mods via the workshop.

C) The save game location on Windows:
C:/Users/YOURUSER/Appdata/Local/Game Dev Tycoon - Steam/Local Storage/
where YOURUSER is your Windows user name.

To View the App Data folder please allow viewing of Hidden Files and Folder:

Then if you wish you can 'delete local content' via steam and reinstall the game.

Hate to dig up old threads but I have an issue: I'm on Linux and "stop synchronizing/re-installing game" did not work for me. I actually can't see any new subscriptions/unsubscriptions now. Anyone knows what is going on? I'm on Ubuntu 16.04.

Ok, verifying the game cache didn't work the first time I did it. However, after the second time re-installing the game, I did not start it. I immediately verified the game cache again. Once I started the game, it finally fixed itself.
