More importantly, it's How Much you broke the record by. Genre/topic mismatches apply a penalty, sliders affect how much tech you can cram in and how long you work on each section (and thus how much blue/orange is produced)...
So it's very difficult to get very high ratings on Every game, but every second or third or so is fairly doable.
-- Always generate games to produce tech points
-- Maximize match also for audience, ex ; music/casual/gameling/Young audience
-- Maximize RPG Games for Gameling and Playsystem, no matter how bad your engine, usually give a good score
-- Trying to update the engine and maximize the sequel to get optimum scores
