Are you getting the above exact message?
It's been awhile since I've played Game Dev Tycoon but I remember there is pirating
of your games that still happens in the 'offical' non-pirate version.
But it won't be enough to drive you to bankrupsy usually.
I don't pirate games, and have never pirated Game Dev Tycoon; my version is legit.
And I get people pirating my games still, pretty sure it's an in-game mechanic,
so long as it's not that above message you're receiving, that's the pirated copy message.

Apart from translations into other languages there are no DLC or other updates planned for Game Dev Tycoon.
