Does naming games affect ratings?
I was wondering if what you name games has a factor on it's ratings as I'm still after the perfect 10 and 11 achievements, thanks.

No. The games name is only used for some achievements like creating the game Pong in the garage and the like. It doesn't affect the ratings at all.

I dont remember which numbers but had Game # ?? get all 10s, 3 times.

I believe that game # is 42. I just left it unnamed like that becuase HHGttG is pretty epic. score a 9.75 (10, 10, 10, 9)

I have no idea, but when I try to make a game like I made a horror/action game I called it "Hidden",but it got poor reviews even though I used an advanced engine and made it maximum on everthing.

I haven't had any noticeable differences in ratings when naming games. Created a "Puppy Tycoon" game (Youth, Virtual Pet, Simulation) get a lower-rating than "Cabbage Doggies" with the same Audience, Topic and Genre.

I've had a rating stating that the game was better than the title, other than that nothing.

I don't think so. Even when I pick easter egg titles my game still sucks. :)

Same here, except for me it's only if you don't change the name of the game (so it's "Game #28" or whatever)
Haven't noticed anything else otherwise.

What is HHGGttG?

No Idea! But HHGttG is short for the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy from Douglas Adams.

Just my 42 :woo:

You need to consider what your fans expect but also the competition / current trends - too much of the same can also be a bad thing, yet getting the right combination for the right platform (if a platform is lacking in the market share, sometimes they will just lap anything up out of desperation for ANY new game!)

The name has no effect whatsoever on the ratings.
