Do you use any mods by chance?
If not, have you tried to reload the save slot itself instead of the auto-save?
If the issue persists please send your save files to support@greenheartgames.com and we will see what you can do. It would also be helpful if you could describe when this started to happen and what you did just before.
Sorry for the trouble.
I tried reloading the game re saving the game, deleting the saves.... and also starting over
First I would suggest disabling the Steam Cloud service to stop your saves re downloading;
1) In your Steam Library, right-click on Game Dev Tycoon and select "Properties."
2) Click the "Updates" tab.
3) Uncheck "Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for Game Dev Tycoon."
4) Click "Close."
Then reinstall Game Dev Tycoon and then start a new game. To do this as soon as the game hits the 'click to continue' screen press the 'escape' key and select 'new' from the menu. Be sure to not have any mods activated if you want to maintain the integrity of your new game.
-----------
The reason behind this is that corruption has occurred inside the save game. It would also be helpful to know which OS you are using and if you have used any mods or save game editors?
