so I'm assuming you have seen the picture with the requirements for the different phases of making a game.
Stage 1
Engine Gameplay Story
180D\720T 720D\180T 720D\180T
Stage 2
Dialogues Level Design AI
810D/90T 360\540 180D\720
Stage 3
World Design Graphics Sound
540\360 450\450 540\360
now the numbers are less important than the ratio.
the numbers are the requirments to become a specialist and not something to worry about till later in the game
Gameplay requires 4x more D than T
- joe has 200D but only 5 T - you need to train him up till its closer to the 4-1 ratio
200D-50T.. Getting an even balence in numbers or just hammering the design will not work in your favor
level design needs 1.5x the number of T than D so
-bob has 100D but and 200 T - you need to train him up till its closer to the 1-1.5 ratio
133D-200T
Graphics is an even split
Sound need 1.5x more D than T.
hope it helps
like story/quests
is that design? or is it tech? i'm guessing design? maybe not....
wish there was a way to tell who i should use in these slots while making a game
When you get to the final office in the game, and you look at the specialist training, there's 1 for each part. That will give you a good idea of what requires more Design or more Tech.
A.I. Requires more Tech than Design for example.
