I'm afraid I can only give you an incredibly biased answer!

In any case, I believe that they're completely different game experiences, so it depends on what you like. You may even like both!

If you want to give Game Dev Tycoon a shot, you can go to our website, and download the demo[www.greenheartgames.com] we have up. At least you try it for a little bit before you make your decision.

Can't promise you won't get addicted, though. ^^

Greenheart Games is right, they are two totally different gaming experiences, although they may be over the same subject. I have both of these games and from my experiences with them, i would also recommend Game Dev Tycoon. Trust me, it's a much better experience and its extremely addicting. Software Inc. is also a great game, but it needs a lot of work. Sorry Software Inc. creators, gonna side with Greenheart on this one.

I'd recommend Software Inc, you'll get your hours out of it. It's indepth and has a great twist compared to the other games, its a more personalised experience with more of an ability to take your own path opposed to MGT & GDT which offer freedom but not as much as Software Inc in my opinion.

At the end of the day, its down to what you enjoy. I'm not going to sit here and tell you ones better than the other because they aren't, they are all different in there own games. But, I'd recommend Software Inc.

I feel that GDT is a lot more of a refined experience, but ofees less freedom. It is about games, and gaming. Software Inc offers a LOT me freedom, but it focused less on games and gaming, as well as is less of a refined experience. Also, one has been finished for 2 years, while the other is still in alpha.
