Game Dev Story Ripoff?

Is it just me or is this a blatant ripoff of the mobile game Game Dev Story that was released in 2010 by Kairosoft? Everyone is commenting on how this company makes games for the people and not for the money. Kind of ironic how it's just a ripoff of another popular game made by a real developer who makes inexpensive fun games without in-app purchases.
I have a feeling this will get taken down, but this is what is ruining the market for good game developers.

Pretty much any simulation games isn't original. Get over yourself. These devs do a good job of offering mod support for a relatively small game and I enjoy it. Go back to 4Chan where you belong.

played both games similar but lots of differences its not a ripoff probably more of a coincidence

There's a difference. One is rubbish (Game Dev Story), and one is good (Game Dev Tycoon)

Also it is not like they did nothing even if it would be a rip-off, it is not like they stole the code, they still had to develop it themselves. Concerning the Rip-off, i don't think its a rip-off it might be influenced by Game Dev Story, but they differ as much as Call of Duty or Battlefield do.

Dude, by your reasoning I could just say that Game Dev Story is a rip-off of this game here: http://www.kongregate.com/games/ishlilith/game-developer-sim. This game came out July 2010 while GDS came out October 2010. So shut up and get over it. Plus, Game Dev Tycoon is PC and Game Dev Story is mobile so it's perfectly reasonable.

Greenheart Games, the developers of Game Dev Tycoon said that they were huge fans of Game Dev Story but they didn't like some of the features in that game so they made a similar Game Development simulator.

Anyway, GameDevStory is cool, but too "moon" to me. And i really enjoyed GameDevTycoon.

Having played both Tycoon and Story I will say that while the idea of the two games are the same- make a game, profit from it, move on- GHG takes Kairosoft's game and makes it their own by expanding on Kairosoft's game that they released in 1997. Also, my thought is that any game created more than a decade after the game they credit as an inspiration should not be considered a rip-off.
